Marianne Singsaas
Singsaas is a Senior Researcher and Assistant Directorat Telemark Research Institute. She holds a doctorate in social development and planning from the Norwegian University of the Environment and Life Sciences. Her main areas are sustainable resource and land management, outdoor recreation and education, open space planning, tourism and value creation, outfield management and green transitions.
Singsaas was awarded a Fulbright Research Grant for 2023 and spent the fall of 2023 as a Visiting Fellow at Cornell University (CALS), studying the management of Chronic Wasting disease (CWD) amd other zoonotic diseases from an Arctic One-Health perspective.
She is currently partner in the Norwegian Research Council (NRC) project COASTREC | Telemarksforsking

Singsaas was Assistant Director før Telemark Research institute from 2023-2025. She was CEO for a nature management foundation for nine years and also has broad political experience. She is a widely used process leader and lecturer, and has extensive experience with user-managed and cross-sector R&D projects. The practical experience from management and politics makes the impact process especially important to Singsaas.
