Regional analyses and attractiveness

Why do some places grow while others shrink? How has business development varied between different places? What development can we expect in the future? In the regional analyses, we describe and analyse the development in an area with regard to important development features: jobs and employment, population and demographics, and business development and attractiveness. We try to describe and explain the driving forces behind the development in municipalities and regions, and prepare scenarios for future development. The analyses are performed at different geographical levels, such as counties, municipal regions or individual municipalities.

The regional analyses are useful tools for monitoring and analysing developments over time, in addition to assessing future challenges and developmental opportunities. The regional analyses are therefore used by municipalities and other regional actors as a basis for community planning and developmental processes at both the municipal and regional level.
