About us

Publisert: august 30, 2021

Telemark Research Institute (TRI) is a non-profit independent research organization approved by The Research Council of Norway. We address societal issues in a way that enables policymakers to make informed decisions and that informs a general social discourse.

Our research

Our research is primarily commissioned from- or developed in partnership with, mainly public clients on a Nordic, national, regional or local level, or funded by national or international research grants. Most of our projects use interdisciplinary approaches and methods. The research in TRI is organized through five research groups.

Future partnerships and projects

We are continuously searching new international project partners for proposals and projects. Our strength lies in having high academic standards, large networks among public and private stakeholders, and being effective and operative in organizing small and larger projects.
